My name is Nadia Eldekvist, called Naddy by most, and I am in the final year of my degree studying Social Anthropology with a year in the Netherlands. I have always had an interest in the visual and have used cameras to photographically document my experiences for years. It was only during completing my a-levels at university, however, that I discovered my love for anthropology. Anthropology had opened my eyes to viewing the world in new ways in much the same way that using cameras can do, you begin to see things in both cases with a different lens.
On this website I will be exploring these zones of contact between anthropology and the visual through the medium of visual ethnography. This wordpress will have a particular focus on my journey making a ethnographic film myself, documenting the process as I go along on my blog.
